Peaceful Art – And a Strange Show & Tell

What a fun night! I spent a good while working on the new lag exhibit. I think it’s about done, though it would be nice to find some way to fill in the empty gaps around it. Ideas always welcome! Anyway, we came up with a name for it: A Noob Knows Lag Exhibit, or A.N.K.L.E. :D How cool is that? You can find the exhibit under the fort on the Raglan Wharf (a landmark will soon be in the Welcome Center on Raglan Shire Proper).

Then Zayn IMed me to come look at some ART!! in the sculpture section of the Raglan Art Walk. We all stood staring at this pretty thing glowing and swirling for a while and finally Zayn just broke down and bought it. Woot! Now I dun have to find a place for it! :P We all trooped up The Great Tree, Steve! and after much deliberation (the thing is BIG), we found a place for it. It was so peaceful we just stayed there for an hour talking and watching it. Zayn took out my singing water glasses and played with them on and off. It was really so nice!

I don’t know how we got to it, but we got on the subject of our biggie avatars and guess who pulled his out of mothballs! It was kind of scary, actually, seeing Zayn all Big. O.O I mean cereal, who wouldn’t be scared of those shoes!

Don’t have to worry about being scared by him again, though, as he deleted the whole thing right after changing back into a bunny! There’s no going back now, dun dun duuuun! Then I guess it turned into biggie show and tell night. Karma, Wolfear, Teal, and I all dug ours out too. I was surprised at how quickly I felt ill at ease, even though these were all the same people I know and love. As a biggie, I was suddenly far more self concious than I even am in RL. Then Wolf said something that made me blush and I was a tiny dragon again faster than you could say “hello, knees!” Crazy Texan. :P

I sure appreciate my Raglan family. Whatever folk think about the importance of the Real World versus virtual worlds, the people on the other side of the keyboards are just as real in either one. And what’s important in life isn’t stuff or money or looks or fame or location or any of those things, it’s relationships. The greatest commandment is to love the Lord, and the second is to love your neighbor. Both are relationships, and both are the only reason we’re here. Thank you, Raglan, for making me feel loved, welcome, and at ease in the midst of fun and waffles and silliness! What would I do without my Raglan home!
